With releases on labels such as UNDERGROUND QUALITY, OMINIRA GERMANY and a new EP due to drop soon on SMALLVILLE RECORDS, Juniper is certainly one to watch in 2012. With a studio ranging from Jupiter 6s, Voyagers to 808/909s these guys are true analogue heroes and we're super excited about hearing them down at Careys. Juniper is both the production duo of Dan Mumberson and Reuben Holt as well as the solo DJ moniker for Dan Mumberson. Hailing from the north-east of England, Dan has been a key player in Manchester's scene for the past decade. He is a co-promoter and resident DJ at meandyou, which is one of the city's premiere parties. His long-time friend Reuben grew up in New Zealand, but moved back to the UK a decade ago and the pair started collecting studio gear and making music not long after. The production duo also joined the UQ family last year as UQ-040 with the Theories EP. Not bad for their debut release! They released more music on Kassem Mosse's "Omnira" imprint shortly afterwards and Dan Mumberson was part of the UQ label showcase at Tape Club in Berlin this past January. The future is only getting better for these guys as they have an upcoming release coming out on Smallville as well as some undisclosed projects.
