FLAK Sessions, with Jumpin' Jack FrostLive on FLAK Sessions, Lush FM Radio 97.9 Jumping Jack Frost hit the DJ circuit in 1987 mixing funk, hip hop and original breakbeats then diving into the acid house circuit via the CARWASH nights in the late 80s, along side DJ Grooverider Bryan Gee, Fabio and Pete Stewart. When the rave scene exploded Frost was at its forefront, enjoying the freedom of going with the flow and mixing drastically different styles of music to suit the mood of the moment. Starting at the (Fridge) in Brixton, Frost went on to headline many legendary events of the era including Sunrise and Energy The sound was too hardcore for the experimental and so cutting-edge labels so Philly Blunt was formed. In 1994 Frost joined the Roast team this was another great landmark in his career and a another positive turning point in the jungle scene. The exemplary rise of labels V and Philly Blunt were illustrated by the success of the V Classic album released in 1997 which confirmed Frost and Bryan as leading forces on the scene on both sides of the Atlantic. Frost spent 5 years at KISS 100 winning the Best Radio DJ Award before Frost and Bryan then headed to America where they spent two years as monthly residents at the world famous TWILO. New York put them on the map and in the UK Planet V at Bagleys and The End nightclub were legendary to say the least. Birmingham Vintage Kilo SaleOn Saturday 29th November 2014 the only way to shop retro returns to a gigantic new event space within the Custard Factory, Digbeth, BIRMINGHAM! The Vintage Clothing Kilo Sale is a collaboration between Europe's largest vintage wholesaler and Britain's biggest vintage fair! We'll be bringing over 5 TONNES of retro fashion and jewellery for you to snap up at the unbelievably cheap price of £15.00 per kilo. You simply select any items you like, take them to the weigh station and pay for the weight of the clothes you want. So, what on earth are we banging on about? Well, here are a few very good reasons to cancel your plans... 1) IT'S EXCLUSIVE! Ran by us boffins at Judy's Affordable Vintage Fair, we partner up with Europe's BIGGEST vintage wholesaler to bring you 5 TONNES of stock! Laid out before you and waiting to be shopped, we're talking everything from retro tees to denim, jackets to jumpers to shorts and skirts. Featuring ladies and gents fashion and accessories from the 1970s and on, we don't disappoint. 2) It's SO FRIKKIN' CHEAP! After trying on, parading and hoarding your items, take them to our weighing desk where you will be charged a meagre £15 A KILO! But what does that mean? Well, it depends on the item's weight but that's an average of 4 - 5 ITEMS FOR £15! No better place to shop affordable vintage in a BIG way, come get a new wardrobe and still have money left over. 3) WE GOT ACCESSORIES! Calling all magpies, your dream date has arrived! Britain's BIGGEST vintage jewellery buff VICTORIA VINTAGE will be on hand, selling rings and chains, brooches and sunnies and all KINDS of accessories from a crazy 50p! Ring on each finger??
