Goverment "weight & treble"SoundSystem was formed in 2009, it's a Reggae Roots Rub a Dub SoundSystem, playing vocal reggae & dubwise music clean & clear & bass heavy from a high powered 2way weight & treble soundsystem.
Jah Hamma was around in the late 70's and early 80's. In those days, sounds built and painted their own speaker boxes. This determined their own identity along with sound quality. In these times, there are a lot of 'shop' built boxes. The sound has now been rebuilt and ready to play roots and culture for the I's. In 2004,Dan I (the son of 'P'an original member), with the help and guidance of his father, started building the sound from scratch. excluding records. Which took dedication and a lot of hard work. The I's listened and watched sound systems on tapes,videos, cd's etc and went to dances, to educate,encourage and uplift. About 18 months ago, I&I met in a dance and they told me, about the works and intentions. 'P' told me that they decided to call the sound Jah Hamma again and if I was interested... Now, here I am, the third member of the sound 'Strugglin' Man' So now I&I will give thanks and praise, through Jah Works,Sound and Power. JAH JAH BLESS

The music will come from Romanian Raresh with his more stripped back minimal grooves, Dinky who also favours stripped back sounds and has produced for labels like Visionquest and Perlon, where Sascha Dive goes super deep with his elongated grooves. Finally, Frenchman DJ W!ld brinks some jacking tech house edge with his amped up style, and Birmingham champion Adam Shelton complete the line-up.
First up for the Below line-up, French house and techno mistress Bloody Mary will be headlining, with One Records young sensation, Jordan Peak, next on the line-up. His rough and ready tech house sound has taken him all over Europe recently, whilst Dogmatik boss Alex Arnout has been doing the same for years with his own great productions and those of other talents he has discovered like Maja Jane. Of course, One Records main men Adam Shelton and Subb-An are also on the line-up having had a quite incredible year smashing it up everywhere from the WMC to fabric and just about every other club that's worth its salt. Their productions too have found favour with a learned tech house crew and so will make a welcome return home. Popping over from legendary Leeds night Back to Basics will be Frenchy and Tristan da Cunha as well as Illusion Recordings main man Tom Craven and James Cotterill. Goverment "weight & treble"SoundSystem was formed in 2009, it's a Reggae Roots Rub a Dub SoundSystem, playing vocal reggae & dubwise music clean & clear & bass heavy from a high powered 2way weight & treble soundsystem.
Jah Hamma was around in the late 70's and early 80's. In those days, sounds built and painted their own speaker boxes. This determined their own identity along with sound quality. In these times, there are a lot of 'shop' built boxes. The sound has now been rebuilt and ready to play roots and culture for the I's. In 2004,Dan I (the son of 'P'an original member), with the help and guidance of his father, started building the sound from scratch. excluding records. Which took dedication and a lot of hard work. The I's listened and watched sound systems on tapes,videos, cd's etc and went to dances, to educate,encourage and uplift. About 18 months ago, I&I met in a dance and they told me, about the works and intentions. 'P' told me that they decided to call the sound Jah Hamma again and if I was interested... Now, here I am, the third member of the sound 'Strugglin' Man' So now I&I will give thanks and praise, through Jah Works,Sound and Power. JAH JAH BLESS
