Come and be a part of this movement and see why the events are soo well resepcted up and down the country. ♫♪ MALIK / LOGIC / MAHALIA / MACCA / SHEA / B NICE ♫♪ MALIK MD7 started his musical journey in the hip-hop group Moorish Delta 7. He has established himself as a successful solo artist with singles like 'I'm Ready' featuring Margs & K-Koke. He also featured on the very popular Baby J remix of Amy Winehouse's 'Valerie'. This remix then led onto him joining the Mark Ronson and Jay-Z tour, supporting artists like Kanye West. Malik MD7 has collaborated with the likes of Professor Green, Wretch 32 and Sway. 2013 is a very exciting year for Malik MD7 with him releasing a new mixtape 'Too Muckin Fuch Volume 2' in February to coincide with the tour and his EP called, 'Malik's Marvellous Medicine' which will be released in May. LOGIC is one of the most respected and innovative artists on UK Hip Hop scene. Steering clearly and deliberately away from the more commercial radio friendly side of UK black music. Celebrated and approved from everyone from the Guardian to Benjamin Zephaniah Logic's thought provoking and often political lyrical style has caused him to remain extremely relevant and a bench mark to many MC's in the UK scene. Logic's honest and direct live performance has kept him consistently performing over the past four years, everywhere from his home town of Brixton to a 10 date US tour and shows in Palestine which led to collaborations with renowned Palestinian artist Shadia Mansour. Logic has also supported some of the most established names in Hip Hop during their UK dates. MAHALIA is a hugely talented singer songwriter, with a deeply affecting voice, original songs and beautiful new music. MACCA is a 25 year old artist from Wolverhampton in the midlands he's been making music since 16 , he's currently an artist in the Stayfresh team and has performed with a number of great artists such as Maverick Sabre. His first single "in my zone" was playlisted on bbc 1xtra. Performed on the bigga fish tour last year with StayFresh. This year Macca is releasing a mixtape entitled "MonsterMac" followed by his debut album entitled "25". SHEA was raised in Croydon, South London in circumstances that, by her own admission, were 'tricky'. Growing up on a rundown council estate with English mother of Irish descent and Jamaican father who was essentially absent from her life from the word go, 'Where Did You Go?', the first single to be released from her debut album, alludes to the 'mess left behind' by broken relationship. Paying her dues on the live and club circuit, she has also featured (as Shea Soul) on tracks with the likes of people like legendary UK Garage producer MJ Cole, Toddla T and Shy FX. Her collaboration with Attacca Pesante led to 'Make It Funky For Me' being one of the corner stones of the UK Funky scene. Her self-penned debut album 'Grey Skies & Rainbow Fingernails' is due for release in Summer 2013 BEENIICE is a 20 year old artist/actor from Birmingham he has been writing music for over 6 years. BEENIICE has recently performed at The Lg arena where he had been given the opportunity to open up for some major artist such as Labrinth, Leona Lewis, Mcfly, Stooshe and JLS. ♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪ By far, the quickest and easiest way to get a slot at ILUVLIVE is to do the open mic. You just sign up on the night and the act most popular with the audience wins the opening slot at the next event. You get 60 seconds and you can do your thing accapella or ask the band to join in. The band may just pick up the vibe from you or you can offer them some direction (i.e. ask them to drop a hip hop/grime/dubstep/soul etc vibe) We have 12 slots on each event and these often get taken before the show starts so if you want to do the open mic get there before 8pm and ask at the door for the open mic sheet when you arrive. You cannot sign up for it in advance.
