Now sporting pounding live drums and breathy falsetto vocals from black sheep Greg Bird, the duo's live show has become a consistently strange and beautiful experience. It's getting pretty cold outside, so come along and let their warm, fuzzy audio-cotton wrap around you. FACE + HEEL - https://www.facebook.com/faceandheel Face + Heel consists of Luke Taylor and Sinead Mcmillan, whose first meeting (via Soundcloud) in early Spring 2011, followed by an eventual real-life encounter through a mutual friend, triggered an instant musical bond as the pair realised their mutual appreciation of Ricardo Villalobos, Laurie Anderson and Bill Evans. Sinead's background in classical composition and her interest in live soundscapes sat well with Luke's career as a sound designer, song writer, and studio engineer, and brought an interesting mix of influences to bear on what has been an already fruitful creative partnership. Over three EP's on Warm Records in 2012, the Face + Heel universe will be presented to the world. On listening to Arc Vel's debut album 'Orrery', it becomes evident that the guy's cranium must be so choc full of rhythm and melodies that it pains us to think of how many ideas must get left on the cutting room floor due to boring human things like eating and sleeping. What he does manage to capture though, is an artillery of juicy beats and digital soundscapes so crunchy you feel you could pick and eat them out of the air, with new hooks dragging you in even when you think the song is about to end.
