Lucy Rose + Peter Roe

Goldenvoice & Birmingham Promoters Proudly Present LUCY ROSE

After months hidden away in her parents' basement recording debut album Like I Used To (released on Monday 24th September), Lucy Rose is happy to announce an extensive UK headline tour this autumn. The news comes as Lucy Rose's new single 'Bikes' (out Sunday 16th September) racks up the plays across radio, and the spectacular, hell-raising video nears half a million plays on YouTube just a week after it was published.Having gained a status and fanbase most new artists can only dream of long before her recent signing to Columbia Records, the young Lucy Rose is now able to sell out 1000-capacity venues with
ease, and indeed, her first in-store at Rough Trade East last ovember was so oversubscribed that 50 latecomers were stuck outside.
Lucy's journey began when she hopped on a train to London, leaving behind the house she would return to years later to record 'Like I Used To'. Striking out for the big city and the big time, armed with an acoustic guitar and an unstoppable dedication, Lucy played every open-mic night imaginable. She met people on the way who are still with her now and with their support and her graft she learned
the ropes. As her songs and sentiments spread their warmth through the iciest of hearts, Her debut album is a confessional of disarming intimacy and candid truth.

PETE ROE

Growing up with a father who played in seminal Irish band Le Cheile, to living above and working in the a pub frequented by quietly understated old blues and jazz masters, some who played with Oscar Peterson, Bob Dylan and Loudon Wainwright, Pete Roe has had the most incredible musical apprenticeship. In recent times he has been a live and studio stalwart in Laura Marling's band and being a central point in the whole London Folk scene which has most notably given birth to Mumfords and Sons.

Having turned his back on a Mechanical Engineering career to pursue music, he's found himself right in the thick of the singer-sonqriter scene. He's supported Marling on her recent tour of the UK and Europe he's found his way onto live recordings of The Staves and Nathaniel Rateliffe and well as helping out on piano on a recent Michael Kiwanuka European support slot. But after four years as sideman Pete Roe is once again out again on his own. His new EP, 'Circles', sees Pete accompanied by a string quartet. Calling in favours from friends from The Red Clay Halo and The Unthanks band, the EP was recorded in two days by Jim Barr of Portishead.

Latest EP 'Circles' is out now
