Four talented boys entered The X Factor as solo artists but were put together to form The Risk by the judges at Boot Camp. Their first performance was eagerly anticipated on the live show, and they didn't disappoint with a slick version of Plan B's "She Said". In week two of the competition, The Risk impressed with tight harmonies when they sang "Just the Way You Are" by Bruno Mars. The band were further strengthened by new recruit, Ashford, from Nu Vibe.
